Overview
The Assistant Manager will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and environmentally friendly shopping mall environment while meeting defined cleaning outcome indicators. This includes optimizing water efficiency practices and ensuring review and renewal of environmental service contracts. Fostering sustainability, managing vendor relationships and aligning contractual agreements with both regulatory requirement and the shopping mall objectives.
Responsibilities
- Housekeeping:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of housekeeping operations within the shopping mall.
- Develop and implement efficient cleaning protocols to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Pest Control:
- Coordinate pest control activities, ensuring a pest-free environment.
- Collaborate with pest control vendors to conduct regular inspections and implement preventive measures.
- Waste Disposal:
- Establish and manage waste disposal procedures, adhering to environmental regulations.
- Optimize waste management systems for efficiency and sustainability.
- Landscaping:
- Supervise landscaping initiatives to enhance the aesthetic appeal of outdoor areas.
- Implement sustainable landscaping practices to support environmental conservation.
- Environmental Sanitation Programme:
- Design and execute environmental sanitation programs to promote a healthy and safe environment.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify and mitigate potential environmental health hazards.
- Cleaning and Disinfection:
- Set and monitor cleaning standards, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
- Implement disinfection protocols to maintain a hygienic environment, especially in high-touch areas.
- Pest Management:
- Develop and enforce pest management strategies to prevent infestations.
- Monitor and analyse pest control metrics to continuously improve effectiveness.
- Waste Management:
- Oversee waste segregation, recycling, and disposal procedures.
- Stay updated on waste management regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
- Environmental Hygiene and Food Safety:
- Ensure compliance with environmental hygiene standards and food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with relevant authorities to uphold health and safety standards.
- Maintenance of Kitchen Exhaust System:
- Supervise the maintenance of kitchen exhaust systems for optimal functionality.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and ensure safety.
- Indoor Air Quality and Water Efficiency:
- Monitor indoor air quality and implement measures to enhance it.
- Implement water-efficient practices and technologies to minimize water consumption.
- Contract Review and Renewal:
- Review existing contracts related to housekeeping, pest control, waste disposal, landscaping, and other environmental services.
- Negotiate contract terms, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and cost-effectiveness.
- Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality environmental services.

- Cost Optimization:
