Accountabilities and Scope

As a key member in the Mall Operations team in managing the daily operations, maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, you will be responsible for maintenance and fire safety and security in the building.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Work in a team and assist the Manager in the daily operations.
  • Supervise technicians in daily preventive and corrective maintenance on property maintenance and common area management. Troubleshoot building services failures.
  • Supervise and manage appointed contractors or vendors for preventive & corrective maintenance works. Ensure that works are being carried out and update the completion of the works and submission of all the service reports by the contractors.
  • Attend to all complaints/feedback and incidents. Conduct Investigation and troubleshooting to identify the appropriate causes, review and implement the appropriate solutions to be executed by contractors and other service providers and submit incident report
  • Analyse reported breakdowns & faults to determine their cause for the prevention of future occurrences.
  • Source for quotations for ad-hoc repair works, part replacement and other work.
  • Prepare cost-estimates and recommendations for ad-hoc maintenance, reinstatement and improvement works.
  • Supervise and ensure that all planned & ad-hoc maintenances as well as ad-hoc repair works undertaken by the appointed contractors are carried out timely accordingly to the specifications and service level agreement in the approved quotation and Contract. Corresponding services reports and invoices are submitted timely for billing.
  • Manage PTW application by Contractors and tenants.
  • Conduct regular inspections at common areas and tenanted spaces, reporting all defects and non-compliance to Manager.
  • Establish communication with tenants on any disruptions, feedback, fitting-out and maintenance works conducted on site.
  • Ensure all statutory licenses and permits are renewed timely.
  • Assist Manager in preparing operation presentation slides and management report.
  • Take accountability and ownership of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) standards and outcomes in building up a Safety Culture.
  • Support day-to-day administrative and coordination functions within the mall management team. This role ensures smooth operations by handling procurement processes, payment tracking, tenant and vendor coordination, documentation control, and assisting in management reporting. The position also supports internal team needs such as meeting arrangements, office supplies, and event coordination.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned whenever required.

 

Profile of the Successful Candidate

  • Passionate about facilities management, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders at all levels.
  • Dynamic, proactive and result oriented team player.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building/Facilities Management or related disciplines.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in similar capacity of building/facilities management/MCST.
