Senior Executive, Operations (Jurong Point)

Overview:

The incumbent will oversee and manage all aspects of environmental services at a large shopping mall. The ideal candidate should demonstrate leadership and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean, safe, and sustainable environment, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering defined outcomes.

The Role:

• Develop and implement efficient cleaning and disinfection protocols and operational procedures. Manage and oversee all housekeeping operations.
• Coordinate pest control activities and collaborate with vendors for regular inspections and preventive pest management measures.
• Identify building defects, recommend solutions, and oversee the execution of building repair and improvement works.
• Manage waste disposal procedures and optimize waste segregation, recycling, and disposal systems.
• Supervise landscaping initiatives and implement and promote sustainable landscaping practices.
• Design and implement sanitation programs. Conduct regular assessments to identify and address potential environmental hazards.
• Monitor and improve indoor air quality.
• Implement water-efficient technologies and procedures.
• Review, negotiate and manage contracts for environmental services.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for all activities and contracts.

The Incumbent:

• Degree or Diploma in Facility Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a shopping mall or commercial property management setting.
• Proficiency in tendering processes, including calling for tenders, ITQs, and vendor negotiations.
• Knowledge of building fabrics, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
• Good organizational, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with contract optimization and vendor management.
• Passionate about sustainability and creating an environmentally friendly space.
• Proactive and detail-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement.
