Senior Executive, Operations (Thomson Plaza)

Accountabilities and Scope

As a key member in the mall operations team in managing the daily operations, maintenance, and upkeep of the mall facilities, you will be responsible for maintenance and fire safety and security in the shopping mall building. Your responsibilities include:

  • Conduct regular building M&E inspections, compliance to authorities’ requirements and management of service contractors to effectively achieve the highest standard.
  • Co-develop and implement fire emergency plan, fire safety audit, maintenance plan for security surveillance systems and carpark facilities to achieve highest standard of safety and security.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians in daily preventive and corrective maintenance on property maintenance and common area management.
  • Supervise security officers in daily security operations and carpark operations, review and approve the team’s duty rosters.
  • Requisite M&E equipment and parts and attend to complaints relating to M&E services.
  • Requisite safety and security equipment and parts as well as follow up and investigate incidents or complaints relating to fire safety and security in the building.
  • Follow through the tender, evaluation and recommendation service or term contracts for maintenance and fire safety, as well as its administration and management.
  • Assist in implementation of Asset Enhancement Initiative (AEI) projects, whenever required.
  • Liaise with Finance on payment to vendors.

 

Profile of the Successful candidate

The successful candidate is passionate about facilities management and can interact with various stakeholders from all levels. A team player who is dynamic, proactive, result oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills, able to work independently and perform under pressure and tight deadlines. The candidate must be willing to be hands-on in performing site checks.

The candidate possesses at least a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building/Facilities Management, or related disciplines. He or she would have at least two years’ experience in similar capacity of shopping mall building, facilities management and/or MCST. It will be good if the candidate has BMS knowledge.
