Senior Officer - Customer Marketing
Role Objective
The Senior Officer - Customer Marketing supports the planning and delivery of shopper-centric marketing programs for assigned Link malls. The role translates agreed asset priorities and shopper understanding into well-executed campaigns, retail activations, promotions and tenant initiatives that strengthen visitation, participation, shopper experience and tenant sales opportunities.
Job Duties
Campaign Planning & Shopper Understanding
- Support manager to develop campaigns and activations with clear objectives, target audiences, activities, timelines, channel requirements and success measures using established planning framework.
- Interpret shopper research, transactions, digital and campaign data to identify implications for targeting, messages, promotion mechanics and execution.
- Proactively maintain awareness of assigned malls, catchments, tenant mix, competitors and retail trends, and highlight relevant opportunities or risks to the team.
- Prepare clear briefs and supporting information for internal teams, ensuring alignment with Link brand requirements and campaign objectives.
Retail Activation & Shopper Promotions
- Coordinate activations or initiatives within larger campaigns, managing suppliers, production, logistics, on-site execution and operational issues.
- Run standard shopper promotions and offers, check mechanics’ terms and conditions, fulfilment arrangements, communication accuracy and operational feasibility.
- Coordinate campaign touchpoints across malls, digital, social, CRM, media and partner channels to ensure messages and timing are consistent.
- Work with Property Management and agencies to support safe, smooth and customer-friendly on-site execution.
- Monitor participation, redemption and shopper feedback during campaigns, escalate material issues promptly and recommend practical adjustments.
Tenant, Agency & Stakeholder Coordination
- Build reliable working relationships with assigned tenants, work with support teams to clearly explain program requirements and secure timely participation, offers, content and operational information.
- Manage day-to-day agency and vendor delivery for assigned work, set timelines, review outputs against briefs and raise quality, scope or timing concerns early.
- Maintain constructive relationships with Asset Management, Leasing, Property Management and Marketing specialist teams, adapting communication to stakeholder needs and following through on agreed actions.
Project, Budget & Performance Management
- Manage defined projects using clear milestones, action trackers, roles, dependencies and risk logs; maintain accurate documentation and escalate deviations promptly.
- Manage projects in accordance to procurement controls; highlight potential variances early.
- Track campaign delivery and results against agreed targets, compile review reports accurately and identify execution improvements with guidance.
- Take ownership of assigned deliverables, respond constructively to changing priorities and propose practical improvements or small tests within own scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in customer marketing, retail marketing, shopping mall marketing, event activation or trade marketing. Open to both client and agency backgrounds.
- Good understanding of Hong Kong shoppers, retail environments and integrated online and offline campaign touchpoints.
- Great attention to detail, with the ability to manage several deliverables concurrently.
- Creative and self-motivated
- Basic commercial and analytical capability, including budget tracking, campaign reporting and interpretation of standard performance data.
- Proactive, accountable and adaptable, with practical problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage.
