Senior Project Engineer (HK)
Job Duties
- Coordinate with project consultants and contractors for Solar Panel System, energy Management System (EMS), Building Management System (BMS) and all building services related activities of shopping centre and retail facilities
- Comment on new system designs, in the areas within the discipline(s) of the Engineer, to ensure / achieve efficient operation of the building facilities.
- Ensure operation, repair and maintenance of the Solar Panel Systems, EMS, BMS and all building facilities by contractors are in compliance of statutory requirements.
- Ensure health and safety of customers, subordinates and people within the building by evaluate potential risk during planning and execution of the project and repair & maintenance works
- Monitor the efficiency and operation status of the building facilities / building services system within the discipline(s) of the engineer. Perform system analysis and prepare improvement proposal.
- Provide training to his subordinates to ensure the quality of maintenance works and ensure his subordinates are equipped with the required and latest technology for works.
- Perform engineering estimation on cost and prepare schedule of major works.
- Supervisor and monitor works carried out by contractors.
- Ensure the contractors' works are in compliance with specifications and complete on time, so as to complete the framework of the contractor management and procurement procedure.
- Ensure system design, materials used and the course of repair / renovation works will have no harm to the environments.
- Develop and maintain necessary databases for benchmarking the facility maintenance of the building.
- May need to work on shift duties to support the operations of A/C equipment and BMS.
Requirements
- Degree in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of experience in consultancy, contracting , facilities management or related construction industry
- Familiar with related local regulations
- Experience in HKBEAM Plus and Energy Building Code is advantageous
- Be a good team player and able to work closely with different working teams
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Words and Excel
- Willing to work under pressure and irregular office hours
- Strong people management skills with retail commercial sense
